Open Question: What is the best bad credit/no credit auto loan?
I'm 20 and a college student. My last car died on me and it's not worth fixing so I'm in search of a used but newer, more reliable car. I do not make enough money to have a lump sum to just hand over to a private seller, but can make payments to a dealership and have a down payment no problem. I don't have much credit though...what is the best bad credit/no credit auto loan site out there? I'm in IL. (Chicago). Suggestions? moreOpen Question: Can car dealerships do this?!?
I bought a car a week ago from a dealership. Was used, priced at $10000. They printed out my credit that night and went over it with me, basically said my credit wasnt bad, I just didnt have much on it, and therefore my down payment would have to be higher. I paid $1,500 out of pocket right then and there, they signed the papers, and the next day I bought insurance for $250 first payment ($135 thereafter). Basically I laid down 1750 in a matter of 20 hours, to drive this car off the lot. 1 week later I get a call waking me up telling me that they cannot finance it, as I dont make enough money (I made $2,200 a month, with no expenses other than car and insurance, which grand totals to $400 a month) and that they want the car back as of tomorrow. Can they do this?! Shouldnt they have LOOKED before handing me the keys, or making me pay a wicked first payment on my insurance? Now I have 6 months of contracted insurance, for no car. Even if they cancel it for me, I still paid $250 bucks for SEVEN DAYS. WTF! Why should I go to a bank first? Its the dealerships job to ensure a loan works out. They shouldnt have let me walk off the lot unless it was 1000% mine, let alone let me buy insurance and pay so much down on it. moreResolved Question: My husband and I need some advice about getting an auto loan.?
We have an old Saturn that is a piece of junk. We drove it for as long as we could. It had an oil leak and when we put oil in it, it basically spits it out. We can't drive a car without any oil so we need a new one. My husband is in the military and he's leaving tomorrow for 22 days and then he'll be getting depoyed sometime soon after that. Before our car died we tried to go ahead and get a new car, but our bank and a car dealership denied our loan applications because, since my husband and I just got married, it didn't show on his LES that he was getting BAH and BAS. Plus my husband has bad credit because he was stupid with money. However, I have taken over our finances and we are paying off all his small consumer loans and credit cards. I do not have a job and I've only had one credit card so I don't have that much credit. But the little credit I do have is really good! Well now that we have no car, we need a loan so we can get one! The military finally updated my husband's LES so it shows that he's making BAH and BAS. We have over $1000 left over a month. And that's after paying all the bills, rent, groceries, everything! We've applied for a loan, again, with our bank. They say they'll have an answer in 24hours but it's been 3 days and my husband leaves tomorrow! I don't know what to do if the bank denies us again. moreVoting Question: Can I get a loan with very bad credit but high income & large downpayment?
Hi- My lease is coming up on my current car and those payments are $537 per month. I've made them on time and I am looking to buy, not lease my next car, due to the miles I drive for my job. My company does reimburse us for a portion of vehicle expenses as well. I'm embarrassed to say that my credit is very bad (high 4's-5) but I make 125-140K per year and have had income in this range for past three years. I've been working on repairing my credit mistakes from college, but that is my current score. I've been with the same company for 7 1/2 years and in my residence for 1 1/2 yrs. I am looking for a car in the $35K range and can put down 20% - 40% if necessary. Please, no lectures. I'm just looking for what I should expect in the current economic situation when I walk into the dealership. When I leased my car 4 years ago I made half of what I make now, and although it involved some negotiation, GMAC financed my lease along with what I owed on my previous vehicle (which is why my lease payments were so high.) My monthly bills total approx. $2,500, which includes my current car payment. Thank you for your feedback. moreOpen Question: Can I get a car loan with bad credit but very high income and large downpayment?

the nissan dealership in albuquerque, nm charged me for work that was supposed to be covered by the factory warranty. The service manager's cop out was that i must have hit something and charged me AFTER the work was done. Now 2 weeks later the car's doing the same thing but worse, and has caused the right wheel to lean slightly which caused drastic air pressure loss. Neither time have i so much as clipped a curve. So, would i be justified in having the work done and assume that it's warranty covered, and when they give me the surprise bill at the counter to pay it by credit card, and then call my card Co. and cancel the transaction? Or even just grap the keys at the cashier's desk and bolt out the door? Afterall, they are the crooks here. moreResolved Question: i was in a bad situation with a car....took out another car loan and im planning on repossessing my old car?
I was in bad shape with a car loan...never seemed like i was going to get the value of the car.....i was 7000 negative equity and my car was getting up in near 100k miles....started to have problems.....by the end of the loan my car wouldnt of been worth anything.....ok so i got a letter through the mail sayin i got preapproved for a car loan....for 30,000, so i went to the dealership....see if there was a way to get a good car that keeps its value....and trade my old one in......my negative equity was too much that they said theres nothing they could do unless i took out a seperate loan.....so i took out another loan besides the one i had.....and i plan on repossessing my old car.....car salesman told me it wont effect me as much because the fact i already have another loan approved....so my credit would go down bc of my old cars reposession....but if i keep paying on my current cars payments....will i still have bad credit for 7 years?....well i know it will hurt it.....but will i be able to build my credit back before the 7 years moreResolved Question: can a car dealership sue you for not making payments on your car for up to 6 months? few questions....?
my friend hasnt made any payements on his car. and he said that the repo peopel have been harasing him and the finance company said that they will take legal action after the day when the payment is usually due. He callled and tried telling them his situation abotu getting laid off and that he is sleeping in his car because he has nowhere to go. But they said that take him to court and force him to pay the amount owed for the back payments (6 months). besides giving you bad credit. what actions can they take against you? Can they really sue you? How long can he go on like this? If the police stops him...would it be on record that the car is wanted? thank you in advance. he still had to pay for his car after they took it? do you mean for the remaining amount of the car? or for the past months he had the car? or just to pay the car off for the total amount? he is returning the car tomorrow. moreResolved Question: Blue Ribbon Chevrolet operating with questionable tactics?
Today a friend has spent most of the day on the telephone attempting to get the title for a car she had purchased from Blue Ribbon Chevrolet in Okmulgee, Oklahoma 4 months ago. She placed a check for $2,000.00 down payment after signing a contract with the dealership in which they agreed to provide financing for her. She was issued a citation a few weeks ago for failure to pay all taxes due the state of Oklahoma, since she was still operating the vehicle with the original dealer temporary tag. Blue Ribbon allowed the tag date to expire while failing to provide the financing as agreed upon in the signed contract. Blue Ribbon Chevrolet is now demanding that she return the vehicle to them because her ‘credit’ had gotten worse. As anyone with any credit knowledge knows, every time a request for credit is made on an account and denied, the credit score drops. Blue Ribbon Chevrolet has made repeated loan request through various lenders causing the credit bureau to lower her score. Has anyone else had a problem with this agency using this tactic? ok most of u know the issues ive had with my fiance. well we've been getting along really great lately. he and my best friend (female) have never gotten along all through high school and things. they mostly just avoid each other (she comes over while he was at work, ect.) and they don't talk on the phone ever or anything. well my friends husband offered to sell his truck to my fiance (greg) and greg said if i can get my car squared away i will get it. (he is paying off a car from the dealer ship) well nobody who wanted to take over payments could pass the ford dealerships credit check. greg put out on ad & over 30 people in a month tried and failed during the credit check part. well he's still reposting his ads and trying more people but my friend asked if greg still was interested in getting the truck. greg said no thank u cuz its not looking too likely that he will be able to sell his car or work anything else out about it so no he doesn't want the truck. my friend said "tell greg thanks for putting us out b/c somebody else wanted to pay more and we turned him down." so i said "I'm sorry but we are going through a dealershhip (and all those details) so its not like greg was trying to screw you two over" and my friend said its all gregs fault now and he is a liar and he was purposefully not caring that he strung them along for a month and screwed them over." i said that if he wanted to screw them over, he would have said yes i still want the truck knowing that the car situation did not look to positive. instead he said no i'm not gonna tie up any more of you guys time if you need to sell it, sell it. but my friend is mad at me now and said that i need to quit making excuses for greg and greg hates her and always makes fun of her for being fat and a bitch and stupid so she knows he didn't care that they've been put out. i said (and this is the truth) that greg hasn't been rude about her for no reason in about a year. he mostly just don't talk about her. or he talks about her w/o making fun (like ask sasha this or that) but my friend says i have no right to get s*itty with her for her 1 bad opinion of greg when i let him say whatever he wants about her. (which he doesn't say) she said greg treats me horrible and i should be grateful that somebody else sees that besides me. i just don't know what to do because greg really didn't do anything to my friend and her husband. i text messaged her and said we are going to have to respectfully agree to disagree and i don't want her and i to fight. i said i'm sorry if i have hurt her feelings but i'm not mad at her. i said i still am wanting to be good friends and am not willing to let our men and there issues come between out friendship. she hasn't texted back. also she is a very close friend and i wouldn't want to just let he go ect. thanks thank u ashley i didn't get on here and post this so you guys could tell me to leave my fiance. i don't think of romantic relationships as disposable and if its not perfect then throw it out. we ARE working on our problems and our problems have nothing to do with this ? i asked what more could be done about a truck misunderstanding. i didn't get on here and post this so you guys could tell me to leave my fiance. i don't think of romantic relationships as disposable and if its not perfect then throw it out. we ARE working on our problems and our problems have nothing to do with this ? i asked what more could be done about a truck misunderstanding. moreResolved Question: car dealerships/lots in kentucky help?
i was just wondering if anyone knows of some car lots/dealerships that accept bad credit and no down payment. we have been to a few that say they accept bad credit and no down payment then when we get their its a different story. so if anyone knows from personal experience please let me know. thanx. moreResolved Question: 04 Mustang with 70K mi or 05 Sebring with 39K mi?
Both are convertibles....i refuse get anything other than a convertible. I got approved for both these cars. I originally only wanted a mustang convertible and especially wasnt feeling any sebrings. I went to this one dealership bc my friend got approved so i went there too and they didnt have mustangs on the lot, only a few sebrings. I was against the sebrings, but figured what do i have to lose, ill test drive it. It wasnt so bad. So i had them run my credit which took many hours. During all of this, i went to another dealership and found a nice mustang and got approved!! But now i am thinking twice bc it does have many miles on it and bc i think the sebring drives nicer than the mustang. Overall, i just want a reliable vehicle bc i am driving to my new home out of state...17 hours away. Any recommendations as to which one i should take?? i meant to say that when i got approved for the mustang, i got a call from the other dealership saying i got approved for the sebring....both of which are about the same price moreResolved Question: Any car dealerships in DE for people with bad credit?
I need a vehicle and have less than perfect credit. I am looking everywhere trying to do everything and have had nothing but bad luck. I saw Deals on Wheels but they seem shady and even though I don't have good credit, I don't want to be taken advantage of because of my financial situation. If anyone could give advice on where I could go, any dealerships, banks, anything to help up, please do. Thanks. moreResolved Question: Question about second chance financing and returning a lemon.?
I purchased a 2001 acura cl with 107,000 miles for $9800 bucks. My apr is 21% (i know it is very high), I put $2000 down and my monthly payments are $377 bucks a month for 33 months. It's a jacked up deal but because my engine in my old car died, i HAD to get another car. I have a really high debt to income ratio and been behind on a couple credit cards for the last 3 months. So my credit score has dropped quite a bit. I had to do special financing. So the car i bought is garbage. I took it home the first day and it would not start again for about 10 mins. Then it started but did the same thing 2 days later. I had to have the car towed back to the dealership. I asked at that point to return the car because i was having a bad feeling about the future issues with the car. The said i couldnt return the car. The said the issue was i needed a new fuel injector or something. so the replaced it and sent me on my way. The car did the same thing 3 days later. They said it was the battery, so they replaced it and sent me on my way. Then it happened again a couple days later. They put the car in the shop for a week and called me to pick it up. I go to the svc dept to get the paperwork to see what was done and they told me they did nothing to the car because it started for them everytime they tried. So i take the car home and the next day, it did the same thing! I went back to the dealership today and they said they will sell me a 98 ford mustang with 59000 miles for $8000. The kelly blue book says the asking price should be $6200 from the dealership. i asked the sales manager and he told me that because it's "special financing" the second chance lender tacks on all these fees. Now my question is, if 8000 is the sale price, the lender dont see any of that money. The lender makes their profit from that high interest rate they are charging me, right. I just want to know if the dealership is feed me a load of crap or not. I would think the would bend over backwards for me after selling me a lemon that left me stranded four times. The car dont fall under the tx lemon law because its a used car and not under the original warranty. I'm told that if i try to give the car back, they will keep my $2000 deposit because they sent most of it to the state for title and taxes. I think they are not being truthful about most of the stuff they told me. I think they are doing everything they can to keep this deal. What should i do?? any advice would help! Thanks!! moreResolved Question: my husband was approved for a car loan and then........?
so my husband had a older car that he still owed on due to using it as security on a personal laon. he went to a car dealership and they said they could get him aproved for a 2009 dodge avenger and that they would pay off the existing loan for the old car and use it as a trade in along with 800 he put down in cash. so anyhow they got the deal done all the papers were signed and in about a week he got the title to the new car. a few days later the dealership calls saying that when they put his info thru to the bank his 2400 looked like 2700 and now he needs more income for the bank to approve , thats bs if you ask me he writes perfectly fine and if he didnt and they couldnt read his writing we had givin them his paystubs so they wanted me to go on the loan with him as "extra income" not a cosigner ( i have bad credit) they said my credit wouldnt matter they just needed my income....bs again they ran my credit like 20 times and three days later called and asked if he had anyone else to go on the loan so anyway my actual question is...he has the contract...the title and can make the payments, they have already sold his car to a wholesaler and paid off his loan on the old car they cant make him give the car back can they? isnt this ther fault?? moreVoting Question: Leasing with a Prepaid Mastercard?
My credit is now garbage, thanks to my dad; getting a credit card for an amount of 16000 in my name when i was 16 years old and now i am 23 looking to lease a car; but with my credit bad and everything its a Mazda 3 2004 if that helps... so my question is would a dealership accept a prepaid mastercard ? moreResolved Question: Auto Loan with bad credit?
When Tax Season 2010 rolls around,I want to buy a used car.But my credit is somewhat bad.Not horrible, but not great.I am paying more than my monthly due on my credit card bill every month, and I haven't missed a payment in more than a year. I asked some friends about Auto Loans, and they said I most likely wont be approved for one without a Co-Signer.The problem is my Dad never established credit. He grew up a hippie, and he still is,so hes never gotten a credit card,or bought a house,or a new car.So he can't co-sign my auto loan. So how do i buy a used car from a dealership or a private seller, without an auto loan? moreResolved Question: Is this a sensible idea? PLEASE ANSWER.?
I am a 19 year old living in Ontario, Canada who has just finished high school and I am going to university in the fall. I am currently looking for a car to buy. I have been looking at both the four cylinder and V6 Honda Accords from the 2003 to 2008 model years. I am looking at cars with a price of just slighty over or under $23 000. I have been looking at dealerships and car lots that specialize in selling cars to people with bad credit or no credit. I don't have a credit rating but I am going to get a credit card to start building credit. I don't have the money to pay for the car so I have been considering financing the car instead. The most I am willing to spend as a down payment is $3000. I am looking at financing plans that allow between 48 to 60 months to pay for the car, bi-weekly payments of up to $150 OR monthly payments of up to $310 and interest rates of up to 12%. I work 14 hours a week and make $532 a month. I don't have any bills to pay. I don't even have a cellphone. As for university, my parents have saved up money for me to go to university and I am also getting a student loan that I have to start paying off after I finished university. My question is if someone my age and in my position in life should be doing this when you include the price of insurance and gas (which is close to $1 a litre where I live). If it is possible for me to do this as long as I make changes to my plan, please tell me what changes I have to make. I know this is a lot of information to take in but I appreciate your answers and would like to hear your opinion. Thanks! P.S. I am being dead serious when I am asking this question so please don't give me any answer like the one that the idiot named rocky gave me please. moreResolved Question: What is considered "bad credit" at a dealership? if you're trying to get a used car for around 15,000?

I live at home, so I have no other bills. If i tried to get a loan, would i be considered a risk? would it be hard for me to get approved? I don't have a cosigner. Would money down help???? Thanks. I'm looking to get a new car. I am 20 years old. I make currently around $1200-$1400 a month. My fico last time I checked was around 570 only due to a credit card I got when I was around 16 so this debt is over 4 years old. I do have a co-signer but her fico is lower than mine 560 but makes about $4000 a month. I was thinking it would be better to try to go to an actual dealership and get a special financing rather than going through roadlaons..etc a place that gives loans automatically for bad credit. My questions are this what are my chances at getting an auto loan? What could I expect my interest to be? Thanks everyone! Also I forgot to add I plan to put about 1-2k down on a car that is around 8-12k. Thanks! moreVoting Question: guidance after college... help?
So sorry that this seems long, I am losing sleep over this though. Its really not too complicated. What's an average amount of Student loan debt for a bachelor's degree? I am going to be done in December 2009 and I am really nervous! I haven't looked at my loans til now and I still have a semester to go, and my loans are at 51K. My mother said hers are more than that. My boyfriends were only 22K. He lived at home and paid his off in a lump sum in about a years time. However he got a job making 46K right out of school and got the luxury of living at home rent-free with only a cell-phone bill and car insurance. I will not have that luxury because my mom is a single mom who is planning to move out of town when I am done with school within probably 6 months. So I will have to get an apartment. I have two questions. A) Is that an average amount of debt for a bachelors degree and how long will it take to pay off usually? B) Is this a level-headed plan: I plan to save money this summer and work full time once I complete my spanish class at the end of June. I will be getting $1,000 in a refund check back from my state loans. (yes, this is why some of my loans accumulated to this much but I this is the only reason I have a car to get to classes and am able to afford my car insurance and a computer for my online classes, books, etc) Right now I have a car that is turning out to be a dud and is unreliable and a money pit. I want to sell it or turn it in for what I can get to a dealership and buy a 4 cylinder reliable little car that I can depend on for the next few years. I have already been researching cheaper cars like a Hyundai Sonata or Saturn Ion that are cheap on gas, reliable, low mileage and affordable (around 4-5K) I will try to get at least 3K out of mine if I can, its an 01 Ford Explorer. That way I have a reliable car to get to class this semester and work as well as work the next few years. This has been a huge problem for me the last few years is hundreds of dollars in repairs so I figure if I just save and actually get a GOOD low mileage car with UNDER 90K then I might be better off. So get a better car. Also pay off a few things that I owe before my student loans come in. (they defer until 6 months after graduation.) I have a few credit cards and my laptop is not paid off yet. Does this sound like an appropriate plan in order to prepare myself? I am very nervous about taking the right steps in order to be ready to take on this debt. I figure that I will need a reliable car and NOT want to be making payments on a car. So I want to get a lower mileage car now. If that means spending some money now, I think I should do that. Am I right or wrong? That would mean having to accumulate a little more in student loan debt and taking a little out of my savings. But then at least I would NOT be taking out a car loan for a good while and could avoid that payment. Bad idea? Good idea? THANKS moreResolved Question: Bad Credit Car Loan or Bad Credit Dealership?
Bad Credit Car Loan or Bad Credit Dealership? Does anyone know where I can go to get a car loan or find a dealership that will work with bad credit in Arkansas? Any answer will be appreciated. moreResolved Question: Help with a car loan question? I work as an independent contractor & I do have a cosigner?
Ok so here is my situation: * My credit is kind of bad in the low 500 so I understand I could be looking at a high interest rate in the 20's. * I work as a full time Nanny and bring in monthly about $1800-$2000 so I report my income on an I-9 tax form at the end of the year and this will be my first year. * I do also work for my college during the fall & spring semesters which I bring in about an additional $300 a month. * I can only put around $500 as a down payment as my car I bought from a "buy here pay here" places just died on me only after having the car 2 years (exactly a month after I paid it off) so I don't want to go back to one of those places and was told it couldn't be traded in. * I do have a cosigner my sister who's credit score is above 650+ and we've discussed this issue thoroughly. * The 2 cars I am looking at is around 10k from a dealership which is a new car & a used car. * I can also make a car payment that is around $300-350 in addition to my insurance that I am already paying. How do I go about seeing if I qualify for a loan? Do I just go to the dealership? or do I look for a loan first? Is it easier to get a used car loan or a new car loan? moreResolved Question: Co-Ownership of vehicle- NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!?
My fiance' and I have a car together and his name is first... I have decided that I want to move on. When we bought the car, the dealership said that my name would only be on the title since his driving record was so bad he could not be insured. His name was on the loan but not on the title. this was supposed to be my car anyway- I had one when we met and he didn't- I traded my car in to get a newer one and to add his name so he could build up some good credit. Anyway- I can afford the car and I want the car- it's my dream car! He hates it. He says that if I leave him he will take the car and turn it in at the bank where it is financed at- pretty much hand it over. But my name is on it too- what can I do to get the car in just my name? My credit was good when we financed it but due to the economy it isnt so good anymore and neither is his. I have a lot of questions I guess... Can he take the car back to the bank without me knowing- will they let him do that? How can I get the car in my name with the bad credit I have? I am sorry but this car is my only transportation and I am nervous to look out the window one day and it's gone- and for everyone to tell me there is nothing they can do. moreResolved Question: Should I buy a car from a bad credit dealership?
Hi, I'm 21 and defaulted on a credit card when I was 18. I applied for a loan at my regular bank and was denied. I'm having a hard time finding a cosigner. I only need one for about $3000 because I only want car for between $4K-5K and I have the rest in savings. Should I wait until I have enough to pay in cash or should I go to a bad credit dealership? If I did, would this have a negative impact on my credit? If so, how exactly? I probably would have a hard time talking the salesman down, right? So should I just continue to save up and pay in cash somewhere else or should I go for a loan from a bad credit dealership? moreResolved Question: need a car asap with bad credit?

My boyfriend is looking to by a used car, but is having trouble finding anyone to give him a $10,000 loan. He had two instances in the past that affected his credit but those were all over 5 years ago. Both the car dealership and his bank was not willing to give him the loan even with a co-signer. Well, my car is about to bite the dust so I am in the search for a "new" one. I am going to have to get a loan for the first time. I have noticed that a lot of dealerships have a pre-qualification form you can fill out on their web sites. Do you have to have good credit to qualify for these loans, and if you do qualify and use the dealership's finance dept., does it work for you or against you? Also, I have noticed that you can apply online for loans has anyone done that? How did it work out? Also considering going through my bank. I would really like to hear about your car buying experiences good and bad. I am going to have to buy one (I hate buying cars! They always seem way over priced) the area of the meroplex that we live it pretty much makes having a car mandatory. I will definitely consider that if I move again. In the mean time though I would be grateful for any advice or experience y'all have to offer. moreResolved Question: Is there any place financing car loans for people with bad credit?

Is it better that I pay for a used car with cash or finance it?
I will be 18 by the end of July. I dont have any money saved up other than a few scanty dollars($3...i know...thats bad), but Im really serious about buying a car. I was wondering if it would be logical for someone my age, if I dont have all the cash at one time to buy a car, to finance the car instead. I dont know anyone with good credit,so would the dealership allow me to finance the car myself? Isnt financing a good way to establish credit? If I had a large enough down payment, would that make me more eligible for the loan? My price range for the car is $5000-$7000. I will accept lower but I want to make sure I dont get stuck with a bad working car with a load of problems. Thanks for helping. moreResolved Question: Do people know when car dealerships have hugh discount sales it can be a ripoff?
I bought a car during a weekend only sale. 3k off the sales price. I use a credit card and they financed the rest. The amount I put down on credit card was the over amount they charged. I did not know it till I got home and did a kelly book check. Turns out the car was a manufacture mellon that was only 2 years old. It was nearly perfect but it had a air-condition leak that cased a hugh mold problem. They put the car on the lot with out dealer papers and say it was just traded in by an earlier customer. It still needed to be safe inspected and they would remove the stale smell at that time. I was charged 22,000 dollars with interest on a Volkswagenn Passatt with only 52000 miles. They worked on it 2 times for the smell. The only way is to completetly remove all the interior carpet, seats, and cloth material. They disguised the smell with some spray which after one day returned so bad we had to have all the windows down just to breath. I ended bringing it back and paid 2 thousand dollars to get my old car back. I would have lost 8 thousand if i hadn't. The kelly blue book is only 14k on a car in mint shape with same mileage. Also the car fact site showed the car had been in an accident and was sold in auction 6 months prior and no other sale. The dealors use these mailings to force people to buy without knowing what is wrong. They say the car will sell with the next customer because of the 3k deal they offer with the mailing. Also the new electronics are soo bad they constantly are in the shop. Its a hugh scam!!!! The only way to buy one is to have a lap top computer that can get online at the dealorship at the time you look at the car. They move the cars to the next dealership so its not there after you have gone home to check the carfax. So what people are saying is ..if a company employee can lie and cheat to get someone to buy there product its your fault because they have 50 years of experiance lieing to your being a honest person and wanting life to be fair. No wonder we are only a step away from a civil war. moreResolved Question: My car is currently being investigated by CA DMV and would like some input from others, just opions!?
Here is the lowdown simple and sweet so negativity please! Bought a car, already h ad bad credit due to my stupidity from my younger days so could not buy from a "REAL" dealership so had to settle for "but here pay here". Got the car, nice, had some inquiries about it but was ok with it, did not have original engine, ok, im ok with it, after buying, did CARFAX and found it was a rental, never told. So all I wanted to do was find out where engine came from and how many miles, no big deal, I already bought it but just want to look into it more, well A/C goes out, take it in, mechanic tells me this car has been damaged in car crash, extensive damage, repaired with junk yard parts, labels missing off hood, A/C was horribly damaged, open up and exposed, etc, so this opens up a big investigation, dealership claims no knowledge of being told it was in accident (bought at auction, and originally from AZ, im in CA) investigator told me most of the time they are (buyer) aware of this, he is following up in AZ on this damn car, dealership offered to "courtesy" pay for repair and today when I go to drop off car and get a loaner, they throw this paper at me saying its from their lawyer who wrote it up, no name of lawyer on it, saying by me signing i will settle and waive all rights making them free and clear, and when i spoke to her she never mentioned this was what I would be signing, she told me it was just a paper stating they were repairing it and as a courtesy. I said no i wont sign it but i will take it to investigator so he can look at it and she demanded it back, i said no and she tried to grab it, yelling, and of course i said "do not touch me, she backed off, so my point in all this, did that seem a little shady, if it was legit then why was she so upset that i wanted to show it to investigator, i just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and do auctions make aware of a buyer that car has been crashed and repair, I did not notice these things when i bought it but my mechanic said it was so obvious there mechanic should of known better. Any adivce appreciated and no harsh criticism, im a single mom and did my best and in the circumstances to get a nice car for my kids, btw its a 2005 chrysler sebring sedan moreResolved Question: recently me and my husband went through a trial seperation and i purchased a car?
during the separation i purchased a car out of both desperation and confusion. never buying a car before on my own didn't know a lot to look into and ask. i knew i would have high interest due to bad credit. but the car dealership charged me 8995 for a car i now know is worth 4500. i would like to return the car before the first payment. is there a law or anything that protects me from being taken advantage of both as a women and as a person with poor credit? i know now i shouldn't have jumped into the decision i felt at the time i had to decide and could not wait. moreResolved Question: Why do every car dealer charge my dad me high interest rates?
My dad always wanted to buy a new car. The 1st one he bought was used, so he fully payed it. But now he wants to buy a new car. His credit score is about 720. The problem is that whenever we go to a car dealership that says 0% APR for like 48 months or so, my dad will always be charge with alot of interest. But he's never been in debt and his credit score is not bad, but why do the dealers never seem to qualify him for 0% APR? We've gone to Chevy, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Toyota, and Jeep, but they will not qualify my dad for 0% APR. The dealers either say that it's the bank that charges you interest or sorry your considered a first time car buyer and stuff like that. Are they tricking my dad to pay more interest? But my dad's never been in any debts and bad situations before. Is there a reason to this? moreResolved Question: Help on repossesion on my car that im financing!!!!!!!?
So, me and my ex husband, got totally ripped off in 2007 when we decided to get a car, from a dealership that was willing to approve us that day, and drive off the lot, that same day. He was leaving to iraq the next day and we just had a baby and we lived in a totally different state, so i was stuck to buy whatever i could. (bad idea) Well, we ended having to have my brother co sign for my ex husband to be able to get approved. Its a 2001 volkswagen new beetle and we got it for a total price, warranty and all that other crap included for 21,000. yeah i know......rip off. but it was priced for about 11,000. totally not worth it because shortly after i had it i already started to have problems with it. well seeing that i didnt know anything about car loans and financing and buying a new car, we both didnt really care as long as we had a car for me to drive while he was away. so now 2 years later, i find out to be completely screwed. my car's sitting in my driveway, not working, overheating, cant really drive it anymore. TOTAL rip off. several months after my ex husband left to iraq the dealer called and said we had to put it under me and my bro, not him and my bro, because my ex's credit sucked. so now its me and my brother stuck with this piece of s*%t car that wont work and i owe about 11,000 on it after years of paying 350 a month. my question is, will they repo my car if i dont have any insurance on it, i havent had insurance on it for awhile and they havent sent me any notice about it. its been over a year since ive had full coverage on it and its been about 6 months since ive had insurance on it period. my next question is, cant i just call them and tell them to take my brother off, and then totally tell them to repo it because i just dont want it. a waste of money. ill risk my credit being screwed to get this stupid car off my hands. ok so i understand that i cant take my brother off, the last thing i wanna do is ruin him. but you said something about forced insurance? how does that work and can i get proof of it or, do i still have to get it insured by my own choice of an insurance company? cant i just leave it like it is? moreVoting Question: Questions about a recent/open Petty Theft case? Will it show up on Background check?
I’ve never been in this position, but I am very nervous about this. I decided to move to Miami for an awesome job here at a very successful car dealership, My job would be in their Business Development/Internet Center. The President/CEO of the company was excited to have me, he even helped pay for my move down there from Tampa. On my way to Miami, my Range Rover blew a gasket and cracked the block, I still cant figure out how, but anyway, I towed it to a shop, and borrowed my parents extra car (a real piece of crap) to drive around in until a new engine gets put in. (about 2 weeks) I spent almost 4000 for parts and labor for the engine. Ouch! Yes it was a bad week. So I started my job, I loved it, everything was going great. The dealership also would allow me to use a company car for errands and such, so I wouldn’t have to drive the crappy car I borrowed from my parents. so that made it more comfortable for me while I was waiting for the truck to get done. However, one day I was in a rush to get to the bank and drycleaners, before they closed on a Friday. I looked around for a dealer tag, and asked several people, and couldn’t find one anywhere, finally I found a tag in a desk drawer, it wasn’t a dealer tag, it was just a Tag that still was valid/current, I still don’t know who's it was, but I decided it was better than no tag, so I put it on the back of a Demo Car. I went out, went to the bank, and then I was on my way to the drycleaners. Next thing you know, I’m pulled over by Four Cops,. full sirens, guns drawn, screaming orders, they have me pinned against the car and everything, once we started talking, They told me the tag on the car was reported lost/stolen. Of course I explained everything. one of the officers was fairly understanding, but once she left, the other ones definitely were not, the badgered me, searched me, pressured me, yelled, treated me like a piece of shit, cuffed me extremely tight, put me in the back of the car, etc. by this time there were alot of people crowded around, staring, including a few young children, very young children, Ill never forget the looks on their faces as they stared from their parents Mini-van. I was wearing a suit and tie, but I was being treated like I was in an Orange Jump-suit, and the for anybody who doesn’t know, Handcuffs that are placed overly tight cause excruciating pain. It hurt. I’ve never been in any kind of trouble of any kind, I never ever thought this would happen. I was in complete shock. Anyway, They continued to question me, and they made a bunch of phone calls, I found out later, they had called the previous owner of that tag, and they told them that the dealership lost that tag about a month ago, so the dealership bought them a new tag, free of charge, and reported that tag for them. They also called my General Manager, he told them I was allowed to use that car, but obviously I was supposed to have a dealer tag. So My story matched up. I did make a mistake, but I didn’t mean to cause anybody harm. but these officers were still acting like complete jerks, I still cant figure out why, I was so nervous and upset that I was practically sick. To My Horror, they still decided to process the arrest. I did this all on scene, I was charged with a Misdemeanor Petty Theft and they processed all the paper-work right there In the Police Cruiser, took my thumb prints and everything. They obviously confiscated the tag. I still couldn’t believe this had happened. My boss sent somebody to pick me up, they brought a tag to drive the car I was driving. Once I get back to the dealership. I sat in shock for a little bit, trying to take this all in, process some thoughts, and figure out how to explain this to my boss, however he sent two Floor Managers to my desk, they explained that the General Manager needed me to leave the premises until they sort everything out. This was equally humiliating as the whole arrest process. They were supposed to give me a call. That never happened. I Finally called the CEO/President, the guy who helped move me and originally offered me the job, I haven’t talked to him since the incident. He told me that I could no longer work for the company For Legal reasons, He said it is out of his hands. I was extremely depressed, I lived in Tampa sense I was Seven years old, But I moved for this job, I had no friends, I left my girlfriend in Tampa, My truck blew an engine, And I spent about $2000 on the move down here, to end up a week later with no job, and a Petty Theft Misdemeanor. Plus I spent my entire Bank Account, Savings Account and Charged up all my credit cards that way I could pay for my Move to Miami, My Range Rover Engine, and Deposit/Rent on a Miami Apartment. The Clerk tells me I still have no court date. Its not fully processed yet. I just need to wait, they keep telling me. So Anyway, I’m asking for any input, any ideas, anything at all. Will this be on my record for a long time? Do you think thi Do you think this case will even go to trial? Am I guilty of Petty Theft? What’s going to happen to me? Is there a way to make this 'Go Away'? They haven’t set a court date for me yet. This is driving me crazy. The Clerk of Court is no help. The Public Defense is no help. Even the 2 lawyers I stalked to, didn’t really answer my questions. Should I go in and talk to a judge? or somebody at the police department.? What should I do? I am completely broke now, I don’t even know how to pay my bills next month, I don’t have enough money to move back to Tampa. there’s also no possible way to pay for a lawyer. I have been so upset about this, I have not been able go on a job-hunt. But At this point I need a job ASAP. like Now. because I have no more money. But I’m worried about the background test? Will Employers be able to see the open case? Will they know that Its a case that has not been ruled on yet? Will They know that Its For a Stolen Tag, Or will it just show Petty Theft? My most important Questions: How long will this take to make go away, totally Disappear? What should I do next? and will my new employer see this on their background test? moreResolved Question: I need your help! Is it true.....?
that car dealerships that advertise "Bad credit, no credit, no problem" are pretty much lying. My husband seems to think that even though they advertise that, they absolutely will not let someone like us with no established credit and has a low credit score because of some minor unpaid medical bills walk out of there with one of their cars. I say if that's true, then they can be sued for false advertising. Who is right?? moreResolved Question: How do I get approved for a car loan on a current upside down loan?
I have a 2006 Dodge Stratus that is already falling apart. Just to fix it will be around $2,000 - $3,000. It use to be used as a rental car and I didn't know at the time that it isn't a good idea to buy a rental car because usually people don't take care of them. Anyways, I owe just over $12,000 on it and I can get $4,500 trade in or $6,500 private party. That sucks. Instead of putting a ton of money into a car that's no good anyways, I'd rather trade it in, and I don't have the best credit. However, I have enough income coming in and I can put down $2,000. Do you think it's even possible to get approved for a loan for a good car of jeep with this much upside down? Should I go through a dealership, or try to get a private loan? Can you recommend a "bad credit auto loan" company to me that is legitimate and trustworthy? Any advise is welcomed. Thanks! moreResolved Question: CREDIT - EVICTION AND CAR REPO?

I bought a brand new 2009 Mazda 6 3 weeks ago, and this Saturday I went to a Shell gas station and filled it up almost completely with their premium "V-Power" gas. Not more than a mile down the road, I stopped at a McDonald's and my car chugged and then stalled in the parking lot, and I couldn't get it started again. It was towed to the local dealership, which was closed for the Easter weekend, and the service adviser found that there was water in the gas. He estimated the repairs to be $500. I filed a claim with my insurance company (AAA) and they do cover this. There are a few things that seriously tick me off about this: 1. The car is 3 weeks old with less than 1000 miles on it, and bad gas is the last thing I would have expected to do some damage to my car 2. While my insurance covers it, I do have to still pay my $100 deductible, and my premium will most certainly go up when it comes time to renew my policy. 3. This happened in my girlfriend's town, which is about an hour away from where I live. This is going to be a bit of a hassle to get my car back from the dealer, which is even a little further. I didn't keep the receipt, but paid with a credit card and it will eventually show up on my statement. There is absolutely no chance that someone tampered with my tank, because it happened a few minutes afterward, and you can only open the tank from the inside anyway (I was in the car the whole time). The service adviser told me that there shouldn't be any lasting damage/problems to my car, but the whole situation has been a headache for me with all the necessary travel. Can I sue the gas station for selling me bad gas? I'm not really looking to get rich here, I just want them to pay for the repairs in full and cover any associated costs. I did call the government agency that investigates these things already, and they did say they would get back to me after the investigation. I'm not sure if this is something to wait for because I don't know how long that would take, or if anything would come of the investigation so late after. moreResolved Question: EVICTED AND CAR REPO?

Hello, I signed for a car using my tax return paperwork ect... and the tax return was going to be 12,800 - so I offered as a down payment 5,000$ We just got our tax return and it was garnished down to 2200, and my husband was just laid off. He has just started a new job but we still do not know how we would make the 5,000$ required to put down and we're afraid to tell the dealership what is going on. My credit score is a 675 so obviously not great, but not bad either, I just have almost nothing on Credit. Is there anywhere I can go to get 5000$ cash without a credit check / or does not care what the credit looks like? Second, What can happen to us if we havn't paid the down payment yet even if we're still looking to pay, but we just lost our entire tax to garnishments (the thing that was garnished was actually on a payment plan that we were paying 125$ a week and had been for months) and they said they wouldn't need to garnish the taxes, but now they say "well we wanted to get paid off faster!" since it was going to take too long to pay them back otherwise in their opinion. What can I do?? Problem is though the dealer already sent the contract to a finance company and the finance company has withdrawn automatically the first monthly payment, so I'm thinking if they take the car back, I will be stuck with a repo / still need to make monthly payments on a car I don't have. moreResolved Question: Am I getting SCREWED on my car loan?
Basically I bought a used 07 car for around $16k sticker, put $3,000 down at signing and financed the rest through a credit union. My payments are $337 a month. I noticed in my yearly statement that only about $210-220 goes to the actual car and the interest was in the neighborhood of $100-110, did I get screwed? Seems like an AWFUL lot of interest for a used car. This is also my first car being bought from a dealership, and at signing the guy said my credit score was 691, I don't check it often cause I heard that is bad for your score. Can anyone tell me if this is average? rip off? or below average for interest? Thank You. moreResolved Question: Bought old car to build credit..to then buy a new car, can new car loan get pulled, if the old gets repo'd?
